The client’s manual process was causing delays and errors:
- Each order required manual splitting into two shipments (impression kit + forms)
- Staff had to track whether users submitted photos of their impressions

System auto‑sends a personalized email with a direct upload link and example of a good impression.

3. Customer Recognition & STL Reuse (Core AI)
Once images are approved, the system queries the database:
- Existing customer? → AI pulls the previous STL file (matching patient anatomy) → skips new STL creation → sends directly to print.
- New customer? → AI triggers STL generation from impression images → saves file → associates with customer profile for future reuse.
Why this matters:
STL generation costs ~$2.50/request. Reusing existing files saved the client ~$1,200/month in compute + reduced turnaround by 1 full day.
4. Subscription Auto‑Create & Deliver
When a customer purchases a subscription (e.g., “new aligners every 90 days”):
- System stores the subscription duration + product variant
